Synopsis |
Three old bags is a story about three women who meet by accident in an urban park. Each has arrived at a similar age but by different routes. Babka has always been family oriented and has a large and very dependant family. For Phoebe, the stage has always been her family and has has no children. Her 'dog' is her constant companion. Gissa had a career in business and while she has a son, her cell phone is her life. The play opens with a mise en scene using clowning techniques, shows the three ladies lives from their earliest memories to the present day. Clowning is used at other key junctures of the play providing symbolism and a touch of foreshadowing. |
